Freyssinet Limited, since its inception in 1950, has been at the forefront of providing specialised civil engineering technology, consultancy and installation for projects large and small.

We form part of the Soletanche Freyssinet Group, a name that is respected worldwide for delivering innovative solutions and pushing the envelope of civil and structural engineering achievement.

Originally a specialist in bridge components and post-tensioning, Freyssinet has successfully expanded its portfolio of products and services into repair, protection and strengthening of structures. We specialise in diagnostic surveys, repairs, refurbishment, bridge bearings and cathodic protection to reinforced concrete in the building, civil and marine sectors.

In 2007 the Freyssinet Group adopted the ‘Sustainable Technology’ tagline. Our products and services offer high value added solutions which are synonymous with sustainability, our aim is “to do more with less materials and energy”, setting us apart from conventional solutions.

Freyssinet operates as principal contractor, specialist subcontractor and supplier throughout the UK and Ireland. Freyssinet is able to support the full product and service range with an in–house engineering design team. Clients include major and specialist contractors, the Highways Agency, Local Authorities, and developers. Our offices are located in Telford, Glasgow and Dublin.

Prestressing is introduced to Great Britain during World War II.
The first bridge is built using Freyssinet cables and anchorages.
PSC Equipment Ltd is founded in UK, granted licence for the commercial exploitation of the Freyssinet systems by S.T.U.P. (France) and adopts a product sales approach.
PSC Equipment expands its product base to include Tetron / Hi-Load bridge bearings and FT road joints.
PSC Contract Services moves into sub-contracting.
PSC provides the prestressing for the nuclear power stations at Oldbury and Wylfa.
S.T.U.P. (later to become Freyssinet International) acquires a controlling interest in PSC Equipment.
PSC Equipment renamed as PSC Freyssinet Ltd.
PSC introduces their prestressing technology to building floor slabs at Harbour Exchange, London.
Freyssinet supplies and installs the cable stays for the Second Severn Crossing and Cardiff Millennium Stadium and the post-tensioning for the reactor at Sizewell B Nuclear Power Station.
PSC Freyssinet renames as Freyssinet Limited.
Freyssinet designs and supplies the post-tensioning for the new exhibition centre at ExCeL in London’s docklands.
Freyssinet relocates UK base to Telford from previous premises in Iver, Buckinghamshire.
Freyssinet expands activity in structural repairs culminating in its largest project to rehabilitate the jetty at South Hook in South Wales.
Freyssinet acquires the assets of the Northern Infrastructure Division of Makers and establishes the repair division Freyssinet Makers in Cumbernauld, Scotland.
Freyssinet completes the post-tensioning for the LNG containment tanks at Isle of Grain, Kent, the largest tanks of their kind in the world.
