This year Freyssinet UK proudly celebrates its 75th anniversary – a milestone that reflects our rich history and commitment to delivering innovative engineering solutions. Embracing our passion for challenges, in April 2025 our team took on the Three Peaks Challenge – successfully climbing the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours, while raising money for two great charities.
Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity – The UK’s leading specialist paediatric centre, caring for sick children and young people age 16 and under.
Lighthouse Club – A construction mental health charity dedicated to the emotional, physical and financial wellbeing of the construction workforce and their families.
With a total walking distance of 23 miles (37km) and a total ascent of 3064 metres (10,052ft), the team did exceptionally well, and raised over £2,000.
Freyssinet’s team of Three Peaks Challenge trekkers included Chris Meade, Daniel Vega, Marco Rubeo, Tom Glovehew, Sher-Mein Wong, Paula Kwiatkowska, Dan Harkin, Gheorghe Hergheligiu, James Rogers, and were transported between Ben Nevis, Scalfell Pike and Snowdon by their minibus drivers/support crew Matthew Dronfield and Ian Turp.
