M62 Ouse Bridge refurbishment scheme wins Highways England award

The M62 Ouse Bridge refurbishment scheme won the Highways England Award 2019/2020 for Delivery – Supply Chain Collaboration on Friday 26 February. The successful execution of the bearing replacement and bridge refurbishment project was the result of a cohesive team effort by Highways England, A-one+, Jacobs, Freyssinet and CR Civils.

The judges said the project was: “A fantastic example of how bringing collaboration from the outset can introduce innovation into the most challenging of projects.”

Elvis Agbodo, Highways England Operations Directorate for Yorkshire & North East said: “Our supply chain partners A-one+, Jacobs, Freyssinet and CR Civils were the perfect team to have on board. Not only did they have the right knowledge and skills, they also had the right attitude, were safety conscious and displayed all the Highways England imperatives and values. It was a great display of teamwork achieved through collaboration. Well done once to all involved in the delivery of this flagship project.”
