This bridge lies across a body of water and for almost half an hour, land is invisible on either side as you travel across it. Two parallel roads allow vehicles to drive across the lake, instead of having to travel around it, saving them a lot of travel time.
Another Louisiana lake bridge that is said to be scarier than it looks is the Manchac Swamp Bridge. This bridge sits high over Lake Maurepas and is said to overlook a haunted swamp.
The Bang Na Expressway in Thailand measures 54km in length and is an incredible structure. The bridge holds a six-lane highway and reportedly cost a billion dollars to construct.

The Danyang-Kunshan Grand Bridge in China is currently the longest bridge in the world, sitting at 164km long. It is reported that this bridge cost over eight billion dollars to build and is one of the strongest and most durable structures ever built.
