The construction industry’s research body CIRIA has joined forces with Freyssinet and monitoring solutions provider Strainstall to deliver four roadshows across the UK, promoting CIRIA’s latest publication (C764) Hidden Defects in Bridges – Guidance on Detection and Management.
The CIRIA C764 publication aims to provide the bridge engineering community with guidance on identifying, investigating and managing known hidden defects, and is supported by a well-documented case studies and reference material.
The final two roadshows of the year will take place Wednesday 27 September in Glasgow and Wednesday 22 November in London. The events aim to help professionals involved in bridge engineering, inspection and management to understand how to use CIRIA’s latest good practice guidance, as well as providing a platform for learning and networking opportunities.
CIRIA partners, event hosts and invited speakers will present the latest practices for assessing risks in hidden defects, adopting technologies that assist in their management and implementing structural repairs.
