Freyssinet is to host its annual seminar at The Rowantree in Edinburgh on Wednesday 22 May. The afternoon event will feature talks on engineering innovation and structural strengthening techniques, followed by canapés and whisky tasting.
In keeping with The Rowantree’s unusual underground vault setting, our special guest speaker will be Eric Melvin, a local historian and author. Eric will present on Deacon Brodie, an upright Edinburgh citizen by day and thief by night, who is said to be the inspiration behind Robert Louis Stevenson’s Dr. Jeykll & Mr Hyde.

16.00 – 16.30 Guest speaker: The Edinburgh of Deacon Brodie by Eric Melvin, Scottish historian and author
16.30 – 17.00 Graham Stanford presents on large scale Freyssinet projects & the launch of Foreva Concrete Repairs
17.00 Networking and canapes, followed by whisky tasting. Event to finish approx. 18.30
